Hi, my name is Dani McTurk
My love of art and design started from a very young age and took me to college where I completed a National Diploma in Art & Design, before gaining a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design & Illustration and a Batchelor of Arts with Honours degree at the University College for the Creative Arts.
I then worked for a number of years in a creative agency and then a printing company where I firstly worked in the pre-press department, organising artwork for print. Then established a design team within the company allowing us to create design work for our customers. In 2016 I decided to go freelance and have since developed Apatite Design into a small design & marketing company based in Heathfield, East Sussex.
I collaborate with clients of all sizes from startup businesses through to established brands and on a variety of projects such as logo design, brand development, marketing, editorial and print design.
I love to design and to build relationships. Getting to know you and your company or organisation is the first and most important part of my design process. Then it’s on to discussing your design needs and to creating well-crafted design and marketing solutions that are visually impactful whilst also serving the purpose in which they are created.
My artwork doesn’t have just one style, every one of my projects are treated with an individual approach, to create a design that works for you.

Graphic Design
Graphic design is a way of visually representing your brand. A means to sell a product or service, tell a story or send out a message. To reach an audience and create a reaction. I provide a range of graphic design services including flyers, leaflets, brochures and business stationery to showroom/shop signage, advertising material, website design, vehicle graphics and logo design.....anything that needs a visual identity!
Logo Design & Branding
Creating a strong logo and branding is a vital way of creating a visual identity and becoming recognised. A truly successful logo is purposeful, memorable and makes the audience feel something. Every business is different and so is every one of my projects. Creating an effective brand involves lots of research and insight into your business, then immersing myself into creating initial logo ideas, which are then talked through with yourself and worked on some more until I've designed the perfect logo for you and the perfect identity for your business. I provide a full brand identity service from logo design to business stationery and marketing materials.
Marketing
Following your branding identity across all your marketing material is essential, so when the audience sees it, they know it's you. This can be done online via your website and social media sites or through print material such as poster, brochures, billboards.
I have experience working in the pre-press department of a printing company, so rest assured that the artwork supplied by me will be completely print-ready. Alternatively, if you would like me to organise the print for you, I offer a complete service from creating your artwork, sourcing competitive print costs, to getting your artwork printed to a high standard and on the correct paper stock and finish that best suit your requirements.
